This tip is really for those who are just now using a smartphone and/or Facebook. For the ones like me who have had a smartphone for a good while it does no good to mess with the gps settings because the pictures already taken and posted will have the location still attached

Geotagging is an option you can turn off... look at that, national security threat NARROWLY AVERTED! If you didn't know about this, you silly.

4) It doesn't take any crazy hacker software to look at this stuff. On windows just right-click the picture, go to Properties, and look at the Details tab. If the location info is present you'll see a GPS section. There's also this handy little link that says "Remove Properties and Personal Information" to strip all that good stuff. This also works with multiple pictures selected so you don't need to delete all of your favorite pictures.
