this is the dampening version; it's not loud at all when actually using it. the mic on my gopro hero3 is just picking it up cause of how close i had the camera

Yeah for the most part. The tablet is touch capacitive and your hand has a small electrical charge, but it will, for the most part, ignore it and go by your stylus

What about writing faster? Is the stylus still comfortable then? Especially for longer note-taking where you have to write along with something.

No, no screen protector - I don't see a real need considering I have it in a case and always have it closed when I'm not using it. Yes it is this clear when writing faster.

how loud it that tapping in an everyday environment? Unless it's the mic just picking it up too clearly, seems a little loud for a note taking environment.
