You should get two 4 gb sticks so you can run in dual channel, dual channel always runs faster

i have a dell too with a 650 gtx card in it that requires 4pin power for it..I put the 1050 in, fan spins but no display. it's like the board isn't giving it enough power to run it? PSU is 470w.
