I'm buying the curve version

The sound is awful. I bought a Sony sound bar and hooked it up via optical cable DIRECTLY from signal source (Apple TV 3rd gen) with Haier volume set to zero. The sound is great. Then hooking optical cable between Haier TV and Sony sound bar, with TV sound on (of course) the sound is not nearly as good. It seems that passing the audio signal through the TV dumbs it down. Any fix for this?

Which input supports hdcp 2.2 I can’t figure it out so I can watch 4K. I’ve had this tv for soooo long and still not coming up for my 4K firestick
