What a monumental clean up and fix. Great work Lee

It'll be a very long time until we see another vintage computer resto of this calibre on YouTube. I'm gobsmacked. Great to see that your hard work paid off, Lee.

Nothing short of impressive! I'm so glad you could bring it back to the land of the living. I have a very soft spot for the 800XL as it was my first computer, at the age of 9. It's still by my side, alive and kicking!

Lee Smith, a formidable force in the fight against battery acid corrosion. I still think you're mad, but you sure are determined. Great job so far. Thanks for making this series, I'm really enjoying it ;)

Triumphant job Lee. Just shows what one can do with hard work, sticking to it and a bit of good luck. Truly brilliant.

Awesome job, Lee! I think that you might be overclocking it though, as the sound test is going really fast, and the fact that the clock was showing like 4-ish Mhz? In any case, amazing work!

Incredible effort Lee. My first thought when I saw the board in pt1 was 'Absolutely no chance'. But I'm very pleased to have been proved wrong!

What an amazing job. I'm not sure many people would have even attempted this so hats off to you.
