@sreddy117 it's true. the thumb sound is something that only can do, and it can only do that. But being that I love that sound, it doesn't bother me.

thank you, and my recomendation would the warwick streamer standard. The reason is that when warwick advertises "the sound of wood" its not some gimmicky bullshit. You can really hear the timbre difference in the clean tones especially in the streamers that i've hear. The Warwick will sound growly, dense, and thicker in a clean setting. The esp will have a better sounding b-string due to the 35"inch scale and will be better for playing with a lot of effects/digital processing.

I believe that Warwick purchased the rights to use the shape on the streamer line from Stuart Spector. I've even seen " design" licensed by Spector USA" in some articles. interesting story on the streamer really, I wondered too why it looked so much different than most warwicks and so much like Spector euros. thanks for the comment!

Damn i just love the warwick bass sound. And it's pretty cheap. Also, it has a comfortable neck, sustain. But what i don't really like is the shape of it. Maybe i would get used to it. But still, it could look more "aggressive" with thicker horns

Bottom line is pick whichever one feel the most comfortable to play, I love thick "baseball bat" necks which a lot of bassists hate, but you may not so I would recomened the streamer because bolt-ons are not cheaper neck thrus they are an entirely different niche. The esp is nice, but the natural tone will be better coming from that streamer.

@sreddy117 what about the "rock basses" ? Are they worth to buy?

you can find corvette pretty cheap on ebay thats what I did. Do not think just because I have a streamer I do not play the corvette anymore. The corvette's sound is excellent and has some serious presence in the low-mid-range (aka thumb-growl). I play the corvette as much as the streamer and although there is a steep price difference, this can be due to manufacturing rather than the quality of sound produced by either bass. In fact, ive been playing it as much as my streamer.

@sreddy117 i was thinking about it though. And it has 35" scale, better for the B string. I have an ibanez gsr series now. And still i found warwick sound way deeper, while it's clean. I mean ibanez is more snappier, while warwick has more serious balls. And that's what i need really. :D

Did warwick copy the streamer shape or did spector allow it? Anyhow, best bass warwick makes IMO..

Hi Wehlan9951, do you mean thumb 5 BO or NT? The thumb 5 neck thru is an excellent bass with it own signature sound. I would consider the thumb 5 neck thru and streamer stage one fairly equal across the charts but the streamer has the edge in terms of versatility and tone shaping. Many thumb user say "you can make it sound like anything except for thumb" but thats my two cents.
