Not all of the dubs suck, there's many of them that I found enjoyable, but this one however, Yeah this sounds pretty bad consider that this dub pretty much is the same cast from Funimation from what I've heard in this scene, already a bad sign.

A lot of dubs do suck but there are great dubs as well like Dragon ball(Except GT and Heroes) and then there’s Hulu which does there own dubs and makes it a lot better than the origanal(Though they usually only pick up on more popular anime)

It's a case of bad or less than adequate directing. It's not that common, but then again we all have different tastes. I've got a friend who likes dubs I don't like, and I like dubs he doesn't like.

I kinda like the English Dub version slightly more. And I'm actually hoping to become a voice actor myself in the foreseeable future.

The dub for some the miyazaki movies are hella rad cuz they got super talented peeps to do it. But even so some suck cuz they cut up the films like nausica valley of the wind had 20 minutes or something crazy removed to make dubbing ezer and hideo miyazaki flipped shit and made it so they didnt have the right to chop the movies so the ones that followed where alot more faithful
