In Mario 64: The man dressed in green

This truly reminds me of the nightmares I had of this game as a kid like finding new rooms in the castle. This low key freaked me out.

I had a dream once where I was messing around with Luigi outside the castle, and I turned on the moon jump cheat as well as one that would allow the power flower's affect on command. I then decided to jump/float towards the mural outside as Vanish Luigi (Luigi’s power flower effect) and I somehow passed through it. Inside was a hallway a lot like 1:46, except the walls and floors were the same white bricks used on the castle, and at the end of the hall, there was a squarish pipe (basically a pipe, except all the round entrance was changed to a square). I jumped inside the pipe, and the game instantly went to a level without a star select screen (now that I think about it, it's similar to the levels where you get keys to unlock the other playable characters). However my game instantly froze upon loading the level. The audio was frozen, none of the button commands other than the power button worked, and my screen was frozen on an image where my character was Waluigi, as he was dropping/falling into a level.

Ok no one is going to believe me, but when I was a child I talked to the toad in the Jolly Roger bay room and it gave me a star. I can't do it anymore but I swear that I actually got a star from him.

I didn't see the black box or the door outside of the tower on the roof in-game. But I saw a grey square in that exact place everytime I paused the game and saw the big overview of the castle.

Personally I’ve always believed that the battle area from Mario Kart DS would’ve made an appearance here. The only nit pick I have about this is the Waluigi model. Its size isn’t “correct” in that it doesn’t look taller than Wario’s, and the texture looks too intense, too vibrant, and doesn’t have that look of it being in this game. Basically it’s like my nit pick with the polls you jump on in the red coin mission of JRB in this DS remake.

This Black Box on the title screen of the game always was a huge myth around the playground that something was in there

I know it's to mimic the SM64 tapes but I don't think that the DS needs a VHS filter.
