Absolutely Stunning to be your first re-upholster project. I've cover dining room chairs before but a wing chair, NEVER !!! I 'd be terrified, this is a job i would totally leave for the pro's.....such as yourself !!!!! lol.....

Beautiful job! I have been thinking about doing some of this to make extra money, my bro did that and wound up having a lucrative business from it. Hard to believe this was your first one - everything is very smooth and professional looking! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your visit and comment. The piping step is at time 2.03 I change the foot on the sewing machine to do the piping process.I used the same fabric and even use the same pipe I removed because it was made of hard plastic. cord If it was just a plain cord, I'll just get a replacement.

very helpful! i am thinking of reupholstering a similar looking chair...it has the ugliest grandma fabric haha...im a bit scared about it though.

they make tack band for straight and curved areas to finish off in back of the chair. start reupholstering seat first then front back, arms,,bottom strip with welting as needed. finish off in the back back with tack band or some creativity. finally finish bottom reinstall legs.

when you put the new fabric on did you use the metal strips?
