I've used a wide array of firearms for turkey. I've used a .410 with slugs, 12 gauge, a .38 Special, .22 Long Rifle (from over 100 yards away!) and a .30-30 WCF (neck shot) and I can guarantee that if you put the shot or bullet in the head or neck of the bird, it won't go anywhere.

Think most here missed the point.  .410 can kill a gobbler within 15 yards.  Sissy gun?  More like an expert's gun.

I've shot a turkey with my Rossi 410 with a 2 3/4 bird shot at 15 yards.. never underestimate 410 ever again

good clean kill my man who cares what you used. The turkey was in the bag and anyone who speaks bad about your kill should know that the best turkey gun is the one that gets the bird!

Are you using a H&R Pardner. I'm considering one for daughter to use. What choke please barrel length & if hr or nef is it a youth? Also how many yards do you find it kills say grouse or rabbit on ground no wounds?

The Billy The Kid line was a nice touch bro. I just got a .410. I havent taken it for a spin yet. What else can you hunt with it???
