iDVD really isn't supported anymore so I'm curious if you've been seeing the green lines and purple dots on the screen of a newer Mac that you somehow got iDVD onto. If it's only on the preview, I would not worry about it. Make sure all of your preferences are correct for what you plan to view it on than test it on a Blake DVD. Verbatim disks always work, that's why they cost more. You could also burn a disk image too and see if they show up there first!

Yes, I'm on a new mac. Its' strange because i exported everything .mov and it was all off the same SD card, The only difference is that the one that plays correctly is b roll and the others are all pics montages. Still, all exported as .mov. I've never burned a disk image but, I'll give it a try. Thanks for your quick reply!

You don't make slide shows in iDVD, just DVD menus.  To change the song in the menu, just select music from the media browser and drop it into the background!

FCP X and motion are about as advanced as it gets with a Mac. Some may claim to be more advance , but not worth it when you compare price and functionality.
