I love how as the fight progresses, the animation gets more insane. The whole fight is consistently animated beautifully, mixing that 3D camera and incredible 2D animation to create some of the best sequences in the series. Those insane motions that Ash and Alain do when they send out attacks almost look as good as the fights themselves. The series probably will never look as good as it did here, and its a miracle we got something that looks as insane as this does.

Everyone talks about anti pseudo-legendary pikachu, but no one talks about the great animation that this season brought us

XYZ is on next level , one thing I love about this series is greninja's attitude and ash confidence. No words to explain how awesome xyz is

We could all agree that this should've been the season where Ash won the finals.

I will never forgive them for making ash win in alola and not XYZ.

This fight scene was legendary, but ASH SHOULD’VE WON THIS LEAGUE!!!!

Ash finally became the World Champion yesterday, but let’s not forget that this was Ash at his peak and he was absolutely robbed. zero chance Alain’s Charizard just eats that final Water Shuriken.

This was the best season so far .....I miss these episodes ️

This and Ash's fight against Sauyer(?) are STILL some of the best fights in the whole anime by far. The animation, the choreography, it's all top-notch during these fights and none other has been able to top this in the awesomeness department (Ash Vs. Paul wins story department). I still love going back to revisit these fights and the whole XY series as a whole for just how impressive and fun they are.

After the recent championship, i say that this is still the best battle in all pokemon history

I just love how you can see that Alain is trying to save charizard for a 1 on 1 fight with greninja but then pikachu comes around and beat his two pseudo-legendaries and Alain pretty much goes "fuck this, go charizard take out this damn rat!"

Plot twist - this fight was more intense than your exam results :D

Pikachu be like: "ohh two pseudo legendary no big deal come I'll show you what my tail can do"

The moment u realize alain actually took out charizard earlier just to beat pikachu. I think he knows pikachu is op
