This is one of these films that you almost feel guilty liking. By the end of the film I felt exausted and beat down by the harsh carnage that I had just witnessed from the last 90 mins. The setting and time the film takes place is what really gets to me the most. The film taking place in the 50's really disturbed me for reasons I cannot explain baja. The fact that the Aunt is responsable for the actions of the kids fucked me up. I think she controlled the kids by fear alone..great review.

The case from dreading got me into this movie and it was just crazy, I can’t believe this actually happened

I actually like that they didn't portray the kids as monsters because it shows how much of an impact and influence parental figures have on children and what they do.

I want to see a showdown between Aunt Ruth and Precious's Mom. It will be like the Alien Vs. Predator of atrociously shitty parents.

4:43  --  You mentioned wishing that this movie had shown HOW she was able to "control" her kids (and, they DEFINITELY could have portrayed that better)

I had a nightmare about that movie.....and I felt hurtful

Baja, thats funny cause I actually think the same thing about the 50's in that Pleasentville style ahhahaha, thats hilarious. Thats exactly what I was thinking

Yeah I meant to mention the time period really working. I think because most people see the 50s as a leave it to beaver plesentville time. So seeing events like this take place in a time where you typically see things being pleasant and tame is disturbing and creepy. Yeah the aunt did control David and a few others by fear. But I wish they would of shown me how she changed her kids to the way they are. I dont know I guess I'm just looking for a reason. How/why people like them can exist.
