For some reason this low effort shitpost got over 1K views. Thanks for clicking nonetheless.

I’ve always liked how stark of a contrast there is between Tarzan and Clayton. Tarzan is seen as primitive because he grew up with animals and Clayton grew up in society and was part of a privileged class yet Clayton acts like an animal while Tarzan has morals.

I’ve always thought the craziest part of this scene is the fact that Tarzan, after everything Clayton‘s done, still tries to save him. Clayton shot and killed his dad, captured his family, and Tarzan still tries to save him. that’s a freaking hero.

It shows how good Tarzan is that despite everything Clayton had done he still tried to warn him about the vine around his neck, only for the mad with rage Clayton not to listen and fall to what would have thankfully been a very quick death as the vine going taught would have snapped his neck killing him instantly.
I WANT Disney to go back to traumatizing us instead of just boring us to death with live action remakes

This would never happen in a G rated movie today

Man, Disney had balls back then. Don't you miss that time?

I don't think the worst thing is the shadow.

I admit Tarzan trying to stop Clayton from slicing the vines was pretty noble

This is by far the most gruesome villain death in all of Disney films. Even more gruesome than Judge Frollo and Dr Facilier combined. His neck is literally snapped by the jungle vine and his corpse is left hanging in the middle of the jungle.

Love how Tarzan actually tried to stop clayton from cutting the vines noticing the vine around his neck

"How one died, shows how one lived."- the Lamb. Though technically it was the Wolf who got him.

How’s it hanging Clayton?
earthpheonixart3388 (22 hours ago)
Watching this many times back when I was a child, I was so oblivious to the shadow of Clayton's hanging body. I didn't even notice it and only focused on Tarzan but wondered why Clayton falling down after slicing the vines was slightly traumatizing. Looking at it now, now I know why-

That's a very grim, haunting, but very satisfying death for a Disney movie, one of my favorite Disney deaths for sure.

That ending tho

Guys dont worry clayton is fine hes just hanging around
Kira1Lawliet (22 hours ago)
There's always something so haunting about seeing a character's death through their shadow. Almost like the film is implying that what is happening is too horrible to witness directly.

0:28 How do you make a hanging death like this Disney-friendly? Simple: After falling, you show the vine being tugged, the machete stabbing the ground, Tarzan landing and then it starts to rain with the lightning flash showing the dead shadow on the tree from the neck down.
