I am of Amazigh heritage, which I am very proud of. My cousins have been to the village that their particular tribe comes from in the Atlas Mountains. My mother always speaks about the Basque people & how they are unique amongst the rest of Europeans around them. I've always known that Berbers are the indigenous peoples of North Africa however MOST of the world including A lot of non Amazigh Moroccans, Algerians and the likes have no clue. But I think that has to do with the cultivation of Islam and the arabization that came along with that. Fascination piece thank you.

Years ago I published a blog about "The Declaration of Arbroath", the opening paragraph documents the Scots journey to Scotland from Scathia, they passed through the Pillars of Hercules to Spain, then Ireland then Scotland, The Basques, Scots and Irish all have unusually high RH negs, and the Berber's and Canary Islanders live on the route they say they took. After I first read it, I immediately connected it to the RH neg phenomenon.
