Dude, I think you nailed it. Great job. That's what the police report said, that Bobby Talbert said he stretched his arms and that caused his shackle to release.

It makes a whole lot of sense..by owen adjusting his arms and cape triggering quick release.. its was tragic event i never forget

There are sworn statements (perhaps even depositions) from the stunt rigors for the Police investigation into it: That Owen was adjusting his cape or making some kind of movements that triggered his release. I don't think we'll ever know if it had to do with him starting to gesture for his entrance or not, it might be something only Owen could answer. I theorize although he was briefed that the release was easier to trigger, he was so used to naturally adjusting and making some light moments while suspended that he did it naturally, but it triggered the release.

No new theories are needed. It’s just a tragic loss and Owen would’ve been a multi time world champion in more than one promotion because he would’ve won the WWE title many times and probably joined TNA and AEW.

A lot of people blame the company, and fair enough, but ultimately your boss in life is you. You’re your own safety expert. The last stop.
