I'm just gonna put this clarification for any newer artists out there, what Kooleen said about brushes is a two way street. No, having her brushes will not make you better, BUT it will help you if you wish to adapt her style, but even then it might not. I cant count the number of times I've downloaded brushes of popular artists with art styles I look up to, but they just never worked for me. Eventually I found a brush that resonated with me, and my work is way better than it used to be.

Honestly, both shapes can be used, I mean, people have different eyeshapes, and some are more like almonds, some are more like parallelograms. Some are like half-circles, some are oval
