I was wrong about the unit of measurement: byte. 1 byte is 8 bits, and 1kilobyte is 1024 bytes. I made a mistake. Thanks to @Jonathan Shane Crawford for correcting me.

After working overseas and using metric system all my life, it is depressing that America still stuck with the imperial system. Worst when you go to a building supplies store and get taken by the fractions measurements. It is like being married to an abusive spouse.

actually, due to a French screwup, kilograms are the standard unit... it's a massive annoyance, I know

oh no . 0:49 is now no longer cannon

The most funny thing, for us French people who implemented the metric system, is to see that the English themselves came to it while the Americans persist in using a system that was imposed on them by their colonizers. ...
billlane2006 (46 minutes ago)
I agree, but in America it impossible to find a metric tape measure so when I do carpenter work I use English when I do machine work I use metric.

0:40 There is measurement system that is fully American, where the foot is about a foot and the ounce is about an ounce, with a volume unit just over a cup. And completely base 10 as well. Written by Thomas Jefferson himself, making for the truest of Freedom Units!
neddyladdy (18 hours ago)
The US doesn't use the imperial system. I does though, use a bastardised form of it called the US Customary System.
BehzadRad (12 hours ago)
Thank you i try to explain to my American Friends some of them don't want to listen they stick with their roots so hard !!!

By yhe way, "Byte" is 8 binnary bits, 1024 Bytes = 1 Kilobytes etc. And that's only for digital devices! Having wrote that, 1 USA gallon = 3.75 Litres, whereas 1 UK gallon = 4.5 Litres. Beside that it was the French that invent the Metric system, did they?
danieleyre8913 (16 hours ago)
Technically; the USA uses the custodial system, not the imperial system.
