For those who are wondering, it was confirmed in an interview/QnA (I forgot which) that the official name is Hydro City which matches the simple names of the other levels. Hydrocity is fun to say but makes less sense since it doesn't match up with the simplicity of the other level names (eg. Green Hill )

The funny thing is… Sonic swearing isn’t too far from how much patience he has. Roger Craig Smith voiced Kyle Crane in Dying Light, and the dialogue just matched Sonic completely if he were thrust into the same situation, and he was. Metal Virus.
