im sikh, i have liked this song since i was a kid, then i found out is a song about the gates of heaven, i love the meaning to it...... i love all..... yeah hard to do, im on a journey ( to death) like everyone, i have found that hate leads to anger, anger leads to violence, violence leads to people getting hurt, people getting hurt may lead to death, i did not decide when someone has birth, so who do i think i am to decide when they die !! this song has touched alot of people.. not just jews

This song gives me shivers. Love it. I am a Christian who is of Russian Jewish origin. Also only recently found Ofra. Found out about her from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack. She was definitely given a gift by God, meaning her voice. RIP Ofra.
