I'm rewatching this now that the DR3 Despair-Arc anime is over. It's so weird to go back and hear Nico's voices for the characters at the beginning of a series versus the end. I think though that Komaeda's voice is the one that sort of naturally developed into a radically different voice than how he began. Sometimes Nico intentionally changes up a character's voice a lot after a few episodes if it doesn't fit, but Komaeda just sort of warped naturally into a super crazy person. I love it.
