My house in terraria has: a trophy room, a castle, an indoor garden, a hotel, a treehouse, a wizard tower (for the wizard npc), my own room, a secret treasure room, an underground room with a pond (for the angler), tiny little floating islands, a miniature wall of flesh, a hand made jungle (for the witch doctor), a wishing well and two chest rooms. It is literally the most chaotic thing ever. I love it though xD

Me and my friend started a new world a few days ago, and it was in expert mode so by night time we didn't have a house yet, so we dug a hole and hid in that until it was day. When morning came along, I built a large box next to the hole, which became our house. we ended up connecting the box and the hole for a little basement kinda thing, and my friend was mining down, and discovered a massive cave system underneath the box/hole. He set up a crap ton of minecart tracks down there while I still worked on the box upstairs, and since we had the requirements for the merchant, demolitionist, and some other NPCs, we decided to make small huts for all the NPC's in the cave. We even found a crimson altar near the cave that we dug a tunnel to. By the 4th night we had this massive cave system covered in minecart tracks and NPC huts. Moral of the story: screw starter houses xD

Did what you did, made my attic a nice little house for my Guide. Used a chandelier up there to really bring the house together, also adding a chimney really brings the house to a quaint little place. Great place to dump things after a few days mining!

Wow, I learned so many new things that I didnt knew before like that you can hang signs upside down, use banners as courtains or block bloodmoon zombies with workbenches inside.
