I just picked up a Mk I (as a backup) for $375!! in good condition, they just wanted to sell it quickly - reputable people, too.

At iso 800 and below, there really iant that much difference in IQ. The focussing is faster yes, but the 5D is still really solid.

There is a major difference Mark III is cleaner , sharper , but boring as well , while 5D Classic is a lot of Drama , a lot of color and texture , film like , dramatic , artistic . So if you shoot Dramatic Photos forget Mark 3 or 4 , Classic is the way to go , but if you want Sony like clear picture , sharp and clean , then by all means get the 3 or 4 or 2

I bought a mk i from ebay for $300 USD just to play around with it, and then I was blown away by the images I was getting out of it. I also got a mk iii for $1100 just because the price was too good to pass on and I've been trying to decide which one to keep. I'm surprisingly leaning more towards the mk i.

I would love a 5d so much. Even though there are way more megapixels on the mark III, the full frame sensor can just pull out some incredibly sharp images and all 5d cameras have my favourite dynamicrange and colours on any camera. Ever.

Have a 6D, picked up a 5D classic in excellent condition last week for $350. Added a used Canon original battery grip ($54 at Adorama in like new condition) and and set of spare batteries from Wasabi for $26 (including charger), I am good to go for at least another 50,000 shots with this beauty...

Got a 5Dii for $600 a few months back. Can't beat it for that price, and the 5D is an even better deal these days.

i think this vid deserves more views. i just bought the classic 5d, but i would love to see some more vids about it. maybe an in depth comparison of the cameras? i dont own the 5d mk 3 so that would seriously be amazing.
