This is good! Performance-wise, I think you read it well. The audio quality could probably be just a little bit clearer, but it works well enough. Your reading of the lines at 0:18 is great - I love how the first line ('How can something so seemingly unremarkable...') is read out a little more intensely and then the next line ('...cause such a spectacle') a little more calmly. It creates a nice contrast between those lines that I like. That said, I think you could probably try and add some more emotion to certain areas to really sell it a bit more. For example, I think the lines around 0:13 (from 'the world would shudder and shake...' to '...cause the world to quake') could probably be read just a little bit more dramatically. If you really wanted to go further, you could probably even try adding in some sound effects in the background as well to match certain parts of your description. For example, at 0:34 ('between the brushing of leaves and the scraping of bark'), you could actually add in the sound of the leaves brushing and the scraping of bark - it'd be a nice little attention to detail that would add polish to the reading. I don't know how you'd personally feel about doing that, but I think it'd be cool and would definitely make the performance more memorable for me, personally!
