The crazy part about the Mixup Cube variants is that they made all of them exactly the same internally, to the point where it's almost impossible to turn without things popping. I once sketched up a redesign of it, and cut the piece count in half while theoretically improving stability.

I think the frustration is that there are clear ways that most of these could be better and they seem to not be for no particular reason at all

I hope this series gets as many parts as there are WitEden and Calvin's Puzzles twisty puzzles that are essentially the same with some random pieces swapped between them.

This might be the ideal discipline for watching someone slowly lose their mind over a topic you've never really thought about.
