The fact that the likelihood of DR2 crashing increases the longer your play session is very indicative of a memory leak of some kind. The game is using up memory and failing to clear it after being used, and eventually the engine can't handle it and breaks.

I think for the amount of benefits the remaster of DR1 has, those issues are pretty small and I'd still suggest the remaster over the original... DR2 looks pretty rough though.

To be fair dead rising remaster did fix a bug in infinity mode were if you enter or exit the food court in a specific time period the game would crash

You missed a huge one in Dead Rising 1 with the sledgehammer being bugged. It goes through the ground when you hit a zombie with the slam attack. Which will make the animation last an extra second leaving Frank completely vulnerable before he can attack again. Pretty much rendering one of the most fun to use weapons in the game useless.

i REALLY lucked out with my version of the DR2 remaster. The only issue I have is the crashes and even then I can have long sessions with no crashes, especially in the early game.

The original Dead Rising. The one reason I'll never get rid of my Xbox 360. I don't play it as often as I should, but I've still got my saved game from 2007, Level 50 and Overtime Mode and Infinity Mode unlocked.

A bug on Xbox One S and Series X I've noticed for DR1 is you know that you start limping when you get bit twice too quickly? You'd naturally recover from that on 360 but now you'd have to enter another area, eat food, or get bit a third time to recover from it. You can no longer wait it out.

The only gripes I have with the collection on 2 and Off The Record is the crashing. It is pretty constant tbh

Snipers shooting constantly without stopping is actually an AI mode. Hyper mode!

Most of these are non issues for the average player but yeah the games crashing is insane. Such a bummer.

The biggest crime here is not releasing off the record remastered physically

DR1 bugs are thankfully minor, biggest one is that overtime glitch but it must be super rare because I never ran into it. Just having it on pc/modern consoles makes up for it.

I played the hell out of DR2 back when it came out for the Xbox360 (got all the achievements), absolutely loved it, playing nonstop with a friend after work and on our days off. I got it again for my Xbox Series S recently, but I have to get all the achievements again for this new version (didn't now until now there were different versions), which is sad cuz online is dead, can't get the online achievements, but the main issue I have is how the game crashes so much, making me lose a lot of progress, so now I have to save like almost everytime I see bathroom. Still love the game, but the crashes are disgusting.

One thing I found out about the PS4 dead rising remaster that is giving me way more issues is the fact it seems to be WAY harder to pull off the press attack plus jump without moving wrestling moves.

I recently went through the PS4 version of "Dead Rising 2" on PS5, and these issues are still present. Game crashed many times, not to mention zombies not dying when attacked among other issues. How did Capcom Vancouver not realize these remasters were bugged beyond belief?
