I used link, and went to the ledge. The bots will come to you, and you will just have to hit them with your blade. Go back to taking the ledge, and attack them. Repeat

My method: Wolf equipped with extra HP and a Franklin Badge for the first few seconds! (And the secret: USE HIS DOWN SPECIAL AGAINST THE REST OF THE METAL MEGA MEN ONCE YOUR BADGE FALLS OFF!!)
