You follow my line of sight with your flashlight as I nod toward a corner of the room which was previously shrouded in dark, but is now garishly aglow with the fluorescent light that flickers on...revealing American actor Adam Sandler, lounging in a dingy metal office chair. But something’s...wrong. The colors on his oversized and disheveled Hawaiian shirt are too bright, the light’s hum is too loud, and his eyes are reflecting in the beam of your torch like no human’s should. He smiles, teeth razor sharp, and calls out a “𝘸𝘰𝘸” in a voice that.... isn’t his—𝒎𝒚 𝑮𝑶𝑫, 𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡'𝑠 ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑂𝑤𝑒𝑛 𝑊𝑖𝑙𝑠𝑜𝑛???????—and it sends a shiver raking down your back, catching on the knots of your spine. You turn back to me, questioning, IMPLORING, but I give no answer. There IS no answer. Hope is lost.
