Man, the way the grasshoppers come out of the mist is so intimidating! No music, no voice, you just hear their wings buzzing, then a halt, and finally their steps on the ground and the wind blowing... What an entrance!

Molt urging the ants to follow Hopper and not make him mad wasn’t even as threatening as he didn’t want to involve himself in attacking the ants despite being on the villain side.

I used to watch this movie all the time as a kid but now as an adult, I never realized how much of an intimidating villian, probably one of my favorite Pixar villians ever!!

1:14 I like the fact that they are showing just how strong both sides are, given the numbers in this shot. There's 11 grasshoppers in this scene and about a hundred ants, reinforcing Hopper's statement that they are in fact outnumbered and would be easily overwhelmed, should the ants rebel.
