Electronics, Mechanics, building stuff, 3D printing, salvage parts from junk then use them to diy a home made just about anything.
I use a lot of tape, wire, zip ties, foil and other every day items to build just about anything.
Sometimes I also do it the proper way with proper tools.
If your looking for a quality bought one. Your on the wrong channel. If I can't fix it with tape and wire, its broken, you need a new one (can I have the old one for parts?).
There are also a ton of blocking oscillators and low power energy harvesters here. I

Pretty cool when you got the camera mic in the wind at the output and heard the expected irritating wind sound, until the sparks started and the wind dropped.

I have build my own version and would love to know what voltage and amps you're using here :)

This guy made a freaking SPACESHIP engine using paperclips, toilet paper, a car battery and can of coconut cream. MacGyver would be proud.

have you thought about a converging-diverging nozzle to improve thrust? Would it work in a vaccum? great job btw!

I see a paper clip, a straw, electrical tape, a cream of coconut tin can, and a playdough container........ Science is the shit.

That's very cool! How many volts are you using? Judging by the size of those sparks, I'd guess that its over 50,000 volts.

wow thanks. I think watts is power, thrust is force, so not sure you can express thrust in watts. I'm also confused because it seems some designs only work in air, while others can in space. I think the type you have is only in air, but not sure. I don't think it has any propellant, but moves air only, Again, not sure. What a hoot !

If you ask me. Ion thrusters are much cooler than chemical rockets.

have you thought about putting the "arc stick" on a slide to adjust the distance or a cone on the back to constrict the airflow making it faster?

Nice! I'm curious about the science behind this. Why would an electrical charge like this create an airflow? :)
