Yes, evolution is indeed marvelous, yet it can also be cruel. Winners have various ways to win, but losers only have one option: extinction. I tend to describe the evolution of animals using an active-choice approach, although such a description is incorrect and not rigorous. Nevertheless, it's intriguing. After all, I don't want the story of evolution to seem so harsh, although in reality, it is. My aim is to make it easier to understand, enabling even those uninterested in paleontology to grasp the marvelous tale of evolution. What do you think?
