Yeah... that's right.. Peter Gabriel's initial reaction to Wind and Wuthering (in 1976) was via a laptop PC. Outstanding!

So Gabriel had a laptop back in the 70s, plus spoke with an American accent. Plus, he was apparently unaware that W&W was the second album after his departure :D

Funny shit! Laughed my ass off!!!! I love Gabriel's solo stuff and Genesis stuff with him and without him. Until F-cking Hackett left! Don't worry I'm almost over it. LOL!!! Cheerio!

Peter Gabriel had already left by the time WInd and Wuthering was released, read up on how all of that went down, and you will 'get it'. Also, the guy kinda looks like Peter Gabriel back in the 70's, so you can see why this is funny!

Exactly ! Laptop, iphone, iplayer. I don't think the maker was 'trying' to make a 'con', this is more a bit of fun.

@mikew4001 Hey, Ian Anderson didn't know Peter Gabriel played flute until recently. Maybe Peter just found out Phil was the singer for Genesis.

I think he went off and wrote Solsbury Hill right after this.

@littlecave I’m pretty sure that I’ve read somewhere (maybe in Armando Gallo’s book) that he really liked it and said they were more experimental and courageous than when they released Trick.

You're mad! Wind and Wuthering kicks ass. It's got a subdued (some might call it boring I guess) quality, but as a whole it really has an amazing surreal feeling as an album. There are many moments of classic Genesis brilliance on that record. Some truly beautiful stuff. The intro by Hackett on Blood on the Rooftops gives me chills every time I hear it.

No, what's funny is that "Peter Gabriel" is listening to 1976's Wind and Wuthering "for the first time" on a laptop computer.
