That truck has a dash replacement mat. It’s a plastic cover that sits on top of the dash. Clean truck🏻

It should idle at anywhere from 6 to 8 hundred, if the IAC is working properly. Under a grand. I have a 97, 1500 dodge ram. 5.2 with the 4x4

Your idle sounds like you need a tune up if not you can easily adjust the idle screws but be careful adjusting it just a little and check if your rpm goes up a bit you dont want to over due it or youll mess up something
