As your revolver gets dirty you need too make extra sure the rounds are fully seated when you load it. Also I keep some qtips to swab out the cylinder chambers just because of this.

recently bought a Rough Rider and a Bar Keep and immediately had this cylinder jamming problem with both of them. I was using BLAZER .22lr ammo that fires fine in my rifles. I changed ammo to CCI Mini-Mag .22lr ammo and have not had any problems since. Try different ammo if you have this problem.

Noticed this didn't happen on my buddies gun with cheap Remington but every time we used cci it locked up
dalesearcy5734 (28 minutes ago)
My Heritage is doing this when I use Augila ammo.

Take the loading gate out and bevel the forward face so it's not square and it will never lock up again, the empty case is moving back out of the cylinder and causing the problem

I had a similar problem with mine recently. I was using Winchester bulk ammo and it always caused the gun to lock up. I sent started using CCI ammo and have no problems at all. I’ve shot over 300 rounds of CCI, and the problem does not exist anymore. I believe the Winchester ammunition was junk.

Let's face it, heritage revolvers have had more than their share of problems. You get what you pay for. I know the ruger 22lr revolvers are much more expensive but they work. The wrangler is competitively priced and might be a good choice.

just bought mine never fired jamed like this out of the box
frankmckinley1254 (2 hour ago)
As a few folks pointed out it could be the ammo. I will test it with some CCI.

1:28 those words come out of my mouth way too often
bradykusch8336 (3 hours ago)
It's from crap cases , the brass is so low quality its warping and expanding in the cylinder.

Several thoughts come to mind:
dougcooley8150 (23 hours ago)
scrub the chambers in the cylinder with a 243 brush every so often when it does that,,,,don't try to force cock it as it will damage the lock mechanism as they are stamped pieces of metal.
