Great job, Im glad to see I'm not the only one with Big Balls. I also have the Marco Polo and don't really mind a forced landing the way i used to, because I know I will be able to find it fast. Ive had my M2 out 32,000 and made it back, but I always do a dry run of about a mile or so, just to check the conditions. Look at the compass in the lower left to see the pitch, if it's high, go in another direction, Also, get the UAV app that tells the wind speed and direction. It really makes a difference.

Also, look at your going out speed and your return home speed. They at least need to be the same. I have found if i press RTH and push the right stick forward, I get about 33 MPH vs the 31 in P mode.

You had the wind against you during coming back.

not sure what happened? how about you canceled the return to home warning and continued to fly another 11,000 feet AWAY from home. Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

Why didn't you just land it on the massive open field?

That's a ton of range! Wow! Just curious, what was your real Above Ground Level (AGL) altitude though? Doesn't seem anything near to 500ft.
