Looks good.....Did you use tattoo ink or leather ink?

The machine heated up because the capacitor ie the small fuse that the coils are connected to is too weak making it over heat because it is cheap materials with low torque so as you turn up the power to break through leather which is a lot tougher than skin it puts too much preasure on the capacitor, and to find a better coil machine you would be better of speaking to a tattooist or machine builder or just buying a pen machine apparently dragon hawk mast racer pen is good for a budget price.

You gotta remove the factory finish first, will help the ink absorb. Also, dont use tattoo ink, use paint made for shoes and leather, and whipe upp the extra with some acetone.

Dude these actually turned out so beautiful. I know you're probably in college or something, but I hope you come back to this, I'd def pay 40-60 for a design as good as that.

I do sneaker customs and tattoos, and i can tell ya even though a coil machinr looks cool, for a little extra money a cordless rotary makes EVERYTHING easier haha
