The Bold Type is inspired by the life of Joanna Coles, former editor in chief of Cosmopolitan and chief content officer of Hearst Magazines, "The Bold Type" follows three spirited, modern young women who work for Scarlet, a global women's magazine based in New York City and run by high-powered Editor-in-Chief Jacqueline (Melora Hardin).
