This sort of drama is too familiar within the black community in a number of spaces I've seen. People want so badly to get recognized, but don't know how to conduct themselves. This is just a classic example of the "crab mentality" that's still prevalent in these black spaces.

There is a reason why you never should make something only catered towards a specific race or ethnicity as then sure there will be racists but it is the people of that race or ethnicity saying you are not [insert race or ethnic group here] enough. And even then there should not be a divide in the first place as VTubing should not be about physical characteristics of a person since you can use any avatar of your choice with any background of your choice to represent yourself regardless of what twitter says.

No idea what this drama is, but I do appreciate the way you're addressing it. The way people present their opinions, what's appropriate and what isn't, they're all thoughts I've had as a black girl watching discourse surrounding my race lmao.

I feel like you summed up some of the issues very well. Like damn, we really lost a lot from this as a community, and people were petty + not keeping peeps accountable. Plus the whole thing about Afaedite being mixed and hosting the show upset me greatly since I'm mixed myself, so it made me a feel unwanted in this community.,

honestly im not really a drama person, i stay out of all race based spaces or pollical, im black irl full African American i respect everyone and think people should just have fun and do what you want, i agree with a lot of your point's people are just stupid tbh.
