The pearl cymbals are embarrassing. I got one crash and one set of hi-hats. They literally bent every time I hit them. Pearl should be embarrassed to even put their branding on those dumpster cymbals

I own 14" Hi Hats, 18" Crash and 10" Splash from Meinl HCS, the splash is a bit low but they don't sound bad at all. The Crash works really well live, I personally love it.

Planet Zs suck, too. Im planning on buying some Dream cymbals (hand hammered B20 bronze for a fraction of the price of a big brand)

One of the drumsets in my school has a Zildjian ZBT set. They'd been there for so long that they turned brown

I agree with everything except for 2, Minel (Probably butchered that) HCS series and the Sabian B8x's are pretty good in my experiences, I have B8x hats and a B8x pro China crash and they sound great and I plan to buy some HCS crashs and a ride

most of these are meant to be inexpensive for beginners.

I had an agazarian crash that sounded amazing on the recording studio

I hate the Wuhan 16” crash, it came with my kit, but still. I can’t imagine a good review on it. It literally sounds like a bell.

I actually have meinl hcs myself. the 16 crash sucks. The hi hats are decent. The 20 ride in a bit ringy and gongy, but its ok. the 18 crash sounds like gongy brass. But I think it's a decent beginner set/ practice kit. But it's decent if you're just starting like if you have the tama imperialstar or something.

Tbh I like Agazarians.

I have hi hats and two crashes that are Meinl Byzance and added my Agazarian 16inch crash, they work together well. I will also say Agazarian has decent splashes, there bright with a short sustain.

Honestly, 7 of 8 of your ''worst cymbal series'' sounds ok, or even great sometimes. Only the Pearl are crappy
