I have a santa fe number 99 form osa auctions i try to get it moving so i put my bachmann transformer at max speed and the light might flicker the thing will buzz and the tenders wheels heat up and get pretty hot i also want to know if my transformer wires should both be on the dc side or the ac side

Simple fix this time, Daniel. Did you add some grease to the worm gear since you had the shell off? It looked like it could use some and cut down on the noise.

So if the loco has DCC - you have to disconnect the DCC and trying running it DC working backwards so to speak, yes?
