firefighter here, they need to re-air these. none of it is overdramatized, I‘be seen gruesome deaths and heard screams from loved ones exactly like this. it’s hard to watch but it’s real and can happen to anyone. people need to be forcefully woken up to reality.

I lost my brother to a drunk driver. He was decapitated and not recognisable. His mate who drove broke a few ribs, the other car 2 occupants died. If you drive drunk or drugged you are a bloody idiot!

17:31 this one is the one that got to me. The flashback imagery is incredibly accurate as someone with C-PTSD, along with the guy crying at the end. Talking about my trauma has caused me to cry exactly like that, especially with the stuttering and shaking. It doesn’t help I have also been in multiple car accidents, but have been laughed at by my family for being terrified in the moment. I need to lie down. :(

What I appreciate about these ads is they target both parties, not just the drivers. People, especially kids, need to know when and how to cross the street.

16:32 This one has to be my favorite. Also here’s a summary, for those who don’t want to see vomiting. It starts with a man throwing up beside a car, and the words “don’t drink and drive” making you think that the sick man is the drunk driver. After he’s done vomiting, he then puts on his firefight helmet and runs to the accident. This isn’t a drunk man stopping at the side of the road to vomit and get back to driving.. it’s a firefighter, sick from the gruesome accident he has to face to get the job done. Great subversion, 10/10

This isn't scary, this is traumatising, heart-breaking, gut-wrenching, disturbing, horrible. It should be shown to everyone.

for me, the one at 13:55 hit the hardest. the attention to detail (different sized pupils indicating severe damage to the brain) and the way the EMTs were still trying to revive her... brutally realistic

The seat belt one is real. One of my best friends died just a few months after graduation because he refused to wear a seat belt due to it being "un-cool". He lost control on a highway and was ejected from the windshield and died on impact. Investigation showed if he had worn it, he would still be alive.

these shouldn’t have stopped they should be shown in all countries and updated

Remember hearing someone say some of these PSAs were extreme and made them unnecessarily uncomfortable...
