Not gonna lie, His death was unfair lol
49ersfamily76 (9 minutes ago)
The reason is actually pretty simple.
TheSmokingSkull (18 minutes ago)
I always wondered why John would say that the key was in the bathtub... but then I realized that he wouldn't have known whether or not the key got flushed because he spent the entire time unconscious on the floor...
talaneobernardo (28 minutes ago)
Interesting take on the bathroom trap...my biggest issue with the bathroom trap in general is: The test is designed to test Gordon, to see how far he was willing to go to not only survive but to save his family, what was tested for Adam?? Yes he's was a sleazy photographer with links to Gordon, but how was Adam ever supposed to win his game? Was he always supposed to die? Why didn't Jigsaw give him a chance to redeem himself and live?
FreakEating (31 minutes ago)
Interesting thought. I didn't consider the whole idea that Adam could have removed his chain
LawdyGawd (46 minutes ago)
They mentioned in the commentary track that Jigsaw is the type of serial killer who gets a rush out of the prospect of getting caught. If Adam had freed himself with the key, he would have very likely searched Jigsaw’s body, or at least gotten a much closer look at it, thereby discovering the “corpse” was actually still alive. So I think Jigsaw probably enjoyed the idea that there was a slim chance Adam would catch Jigsaw in the act. But otherwise, it looks like it was intentionally set up so that the key would go down the drain, leaving amputation as Adam’s only way out.

i wish adam would have come back like dr gordan

Why did Dr.Phil saw off the wrong foot?
onlyonpaper (2 hour ago)
If he had gotten out of the chain he would at least of had a chance to fight John or wait for a chance to escape when someone were to enter or leave through the door

Now, that's some clever ass analysis about Adam needing to have the mobility to be able to retrieve the tape recorder, but now why go through the trouble of chaining up Adam in the first place if his escape from the chain could've been so easily obtained from the key left behind? It's like locking your doors at night and leaving a spare key with a burglar. I understand that Adam's game was not to escape, but to manage to stay alive basically, past a certain time, but why would he give Adam that unfair advantage above Gordon? Furthermore, why have TWO hacksaws if Adam could've just used the key to release himself from the chain? A lot of people say that Amanda rigged the game, some say its because of the drain plug being wrapped around his leg, but I've heard others refute that the key was supposed to placed around his neck and that the careless tossing of the key on his stomach was either some clumsy error or Amanda had some intention to intervene. Somehow though, I've always stuck to the belief that the key was just meant there as a psychological tease to Adam. What sensible person having just woken up from drowning would have had the consciousness to realize there was a key with him, in the dark, while he just tried to get above water? I might have to watch Saw & Saw III again, but for some reason, I think it's either a writer's flaw or James Waan & Leigh Wannell left more aspects of the original trap ambiguous than we thought. If Adam had the key and was able to unlock himself from the chain, then that would leave all the opportunity for him and Lawrence to escape, especially with Zepp being dead, and hell, I don't think Lawrence could even be able to shoot Adam with that sort of mobility, and again, the two hacksaws come into play, so... it's just a big fucking mess.

Can we please talk about how well planned the whole series was? In case you didn't know: the actor of Adam wrote the scripts of the first three parts and it's still amazing how many details he left in the plot, so it's possible for another writers to continue the story with more details which lead into the other characters's fates.

That key scene had bugged me for so long, but amanda rigging the bathtub finaly freed me from my frustration. It makes sense now

these comments are so interesting and i want to read them all but there are too much! i love the ideas people think of what would've happened if Adam had the key etc.. saw is just so amazing!

Imagine if someone was in a saw trap and they just happened to have a paperclip in their pocket and they just broke out
israelstarks8210 (9 hours ago)
I didn't watch the full vid at the time you are seeing this but I think this test was deeper than we thought because I think the poisoned cigar and the gun was just there to see if adam or gordon would kill because not anyone can just kill someone because you probably would be too scared. so I think Kramer really wanted them to save each other because if amanda actually put the key around Adams neck he could get out and get the gun and shoot Gordon's chain. like jigsaw(spoiler warning) john put the gun between the 2 people playing the game but the question is would you really kill to save your own life. also this is why I think john knew gordon would be the best to carry out his work because it takes a lot to cut your self to survive when you could have killed someone to get out because gordon could have actually got adam to smoke that cigarette
AlexLeyba1 (22 hours ago)
Interesting, I’ve always thought about this before, and do u think that key could have unlocked them both
JoelsCreed141 (13 hours ago)
Honestly out of everybody, Adam was the only one (aside from Logan) who didn’t deserve to die. That being said I still don’t believe he’s dead, or at least I hope he isn’t
