A good question! I've seen some cage setups that use Exo Terra accessories and they've looked great each time. The good thing is that they're definitely safe to have in the cage, the finish is non toxic and they're developed to be food/water safe. BUT if you have a destructive chewer, then I'd personally not risk them. The finish may be safe as a surface, but I can't find anything about them being safe to ingest. After all they're designed for reptiles which don't typically eat their environment!
