Honestly the doctor really shouldn't have killed off the daleks. He should have tipped off the Daleks to an enemy that claimed to be unkillable (the angels) and then have them duke it out.

Umm, Daleks do blink. We saw that in the season 8 episode 2 episode "Into The Dalek". The Doctor was face to face with Rusty, and Rusty was blinking.
