I had a theory on what the night feeder is. Originally I thought it was an insect of some kind due to the episode focusing on bugs from time to time. Then I saw it was a dinosaur. Afterwards I looked up concept art for it an the results were promising. So My theory is that the night feeder is a type of hyper mutated Utahraptor. The speed is one of the many abilities it has. The scythe like claws it had on its toes were disposed of and replaced by the sword like claws on it's hands. The black tar-like substance is a secretion that helps it blend into the darkness of night.and it's immense strength is to help it cleave through prey in seconds. The roar would also help in disorienting the prey so it can't fight back. All in all it's a truly terrifying creature
