They are widely popular for their innovative methods of instruction; including musicality, cultural idioms, history, & social dance etiquette, while encouraging their students to express themselves in their own unique way.

Edwin, International Ambassador of Dominican Arts, is a Dominican-born dancer, educator, & producer who earned his BA in Music Education. Dakhóta, Indigenous to Apache Territory (now known as Mexico/New Mexico) & of Scandinavian descent, is a multitalented singer, actor, & dancer who earned her BA in Music.

Together, Edwin & Dakhóta founded Areíto Arts, an educational dance company named after the Arawak word for rhythm, song, dance & gathering. Focusing on Rhythms & Roots, their aim is to educate students on the culture, development, and growth of Afro-Carribean Arts.
